Sheila Brown MSW RSW Acc.FM (OAFM)
Sheila Brown MSW RSW Acc.FM (OAFM) is an experienced Registered Social Worker and Accredited Mediator who brings a unique combination of skills to her practice. Her approachable manner, combined with experience in both clinical and managerial positions in children’s mental health centres, allows her to deal with many issues confronting individuals, couples and families in both their personal and professional lives.
Sheila specializes in working with families through the process of separation and divorce and is committed to helping families move through this transition in as positive a way as possible while minimizing the impact of conflict on children. Sheila provides mediation to parents who wish to develop parenting plans. Sheila also works with separating couples to help them restructure their communication and set new boundaries in their relationship.
Sheila has been a leader in the Toronto area in the development of interdisciplinary collaborative practice and has provided training and consultation to collaborative professionals in both Canada and the United States. Sheila has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Collaborative Practice Toronto and the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation.
